Cultivating Resiliency – Coffee Chat

This is an opportunity to share what is on your mind related to agricultural stress in a safe place.
Participants are anonymous and may type in their questions, or verbalize them, or just listen. The session will last one hour. The
session will not be recorded, and participants may choose to remain anonymous. Participants cannot see each other, nor do
they see each other’s names.

FVC – QPR Training

October 21 @ 9 A.M. CENTRAL

This training is for anyone who is, works with or knows a farmer veteran, or farmers, or veterans, or anyone. For many people QPR is a very accessible way to receive an introduction to suicide prevention. Together we can help prevent suicide.
Note: Only one training is required to become a QPR certified gatekeeper. Different dates and times are offered in order to accommodate different schedules.

In Person Training – FVC Annual Conf. in Waco, TX

October 27 @ 3 p.m.
Length of training is one hour and 30 minutes with an additional optional 15-minute practice session and more time for Q & A

The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is pleased to offer these QPR training opportunities through the support of a grant from SAMSHA. FVC has provided over 70 QPR training and follow-up debriefing opportunities to help anyone to provide assistance in suicide prevention. During the training, you will learn QPR and why farmers and veterans are more vulnerable to suicide. 

Monica McConkey, Rural Mental Health Specialist, is the trainer.

Cultivating Resiliency While Navigating Uncertainty: a two-part special event

Agricultural stress, uncertainty, and change abounds.
Join us for these FREE sessions that will help everyone increase their resilience. Both sessions will last one hour. The first 40 minutes of each session will include an interactive educational webinar which will be recorded. During the last segment we will stop the recording and demonstrate how an anonymous virtual community works. Session attendees may choose to actively participate or just listen.
